As you can see Sinlaku has weakened, but is heading our way again. It looks like it will pass between us and Mainland Japan. I made a trip to the commissary back when we got the original Typhoon warning. The gentleman who bagged my groceries spoke almost no English at all, but he did say the following to me: "Typhoon...(he made a large sweeping motion with his arm, meaning going around something)...Okinawa." How lucky was I? I got the Al Roker of Okinawa to bag my groceries...he was right on! We will probably just have bad weather for a few more days. It has been really rainy and lots of lightning/thunder.
