Martha...Meet Your New Interns, D and BB

As you know I have been working on creating what I like to call The Coffee House Kitchen. With the help of D's eye I have been collecting bits and pieces. Today, after our walk, D came over to help me put up the items. I am still waiting on some things I ordered in the mail: a bright red apron to hang on the door with the espresso cup hook, brown and black towels, and some bright red washcloths. Then, with the addition of some photography from my peeps in the states (and beyond), it will be a complete success. Take a gander at the one before shot I took. It gives you an idea of the peach trim, tan cupboards, and creamish wall color scheme that came standard with the Ghetto Penthouse. I am sure this combination was groovy back when I was conceived, however its time has come...and gone. The rest of the photos are the result of our hard work. The coffee cup collage on the wall is one of my favorite pieces. We found the 3-D metal sculptures at the BX on Kadena. Then, we found plain black picture frames at the PX on Foster. We removed the backs and the glass from the frames. Finally, we grouped them together to make a pleasing art piece.

You did a great job with the coffee mugs and frames. Also good luck to Emily with her swim meet.
