The girls have started their new sport. They have been swimming on the Okinawa Dolphins Swim Team for two weeks now after a successful tryout. Emily made the "Dolphin" team and McKenzie made the "Red" team. The Dolphin team is the novices, the Red team is the next step up, and then there are the more elite Blue and White teams. Of course, their practices are on different days, but I carpool with another mom and it all works out. This weekend is their first swim meet. McKenzie won't be swimming as she has Student Council commitments at the school on Saturday, but Emily will. She is a bit nervous and has only entered one event. It will be good for her to see how the whole thing works.
So far the cutest exchange was when they were trying on their swim caps for the first time. Emily was sure that I had done it wrong when the swim cap covered up her ears. McKenzie convinced her that it was a-okay, by saying the line that always works: "That's the way Michael Phelps does it!" No further dialogue necessary.

Ha ha, well as long as Phelps does it, it can't be wrong! Awww they're so cute, I really miss their little hugs! Good luck on Sat. Emerson and good luck at school McKenzie!
They look so grown up... good luck to both, although Im sure they don't need it...they're naturals!
