What to do

Alright, so your husband's birthday falls on the last day of your very labor intensive class. What to do? Ah Ha! Turn those kids loose with their creative energy. This is when you are once again thankful that your kids are growing up and are independent little souls. I set out the the tools and let them make a homemade present of their own design. They had so much fun! Of course, I peeked in to take some photos and give advice (when asked). The girls did it all. They wanted to make a "boy" cake, so they chose the color of the frosting (and gave it a QA check). They dove into Mommy's scrapbooking supplies and made some lovely cards. They managed to have it all put together in time to surprise Daddy at the door. Happy Birthday Daddy....Mommy is off to class and the dishes are piled in the sink :).
